AFTER ALMOST TWO months of sheltering in place, it’s easy to start to feel more than a little stir-crazy. You might be looking for new ways to cope with, well, existing. Are you working on your mixology skills? We’ve got a guide to the Best Bar Accessories. Or perhaps you’re aiming to exercise more—our workout from home guide and advice on the Best Running Socks could be of some assistance. It’s also always a good time to play board games, and we have an explainer on how to do it remotely with your pals.
If you’re looking for deals, this weekend there are a few that might help make your new routines feel more stable—or at least tolerable. We’ve rounded up discounts on gear that’ll make your home office more efficient (even if that «office» is your bed). And as always, we’ve found some price drops on games and content to watch. No matter how you’re spending the weekend, we hope it’s a good one.
If you buy something using links in our stories, we may earn a commission.
- Battlefield 4 (PC Digital Code) for $3: If you’re on the hunt for a new PC game to add to your library, this price makes this title a no-brainer. There are still plenty of people playing it online, despite it being an older game, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding matches.
- Overcooked 2 (Nintendo Switch Digital Code) for $15 ($10 off): This is one of our favorite Nintendo Switch games, and we especially like it for online co-op. Work with up to four players to cook in collaboration and defeat the unbread.
- Parks and Recreation Complete Series for $30 ($20 off): Be sure to select the HDX option to snag this deal in the highest quality possible. While Parks and Rec is free to watch on a lot of streaming services, that doesn’t grant you ownership over the content. If you’re a die-hard fan, this deal is a good way to make sure you’ll always be able to rewatch.
- REI Lifetime Membership + $20 Gift Card for $20 (when you spend $50): REI’s Lifetime Membership usually costs $20, but there’s a promotion going on that might make now a good time to join. If you spend $50, you can purchase a Lifetime Membership for $20 and get a $20 Bonus Card back. The $20 Bonus Card is like a gift card—with the caveat that you must use it within 30 days of receiving it. This deal is only for new members. Benefits of a membership include an annual dividend, exclusive merchandise, discounted rentals, access to events, and more. Note that this promotion is by no means new; we see it a few times throughout the year.
- REI Weekly Deals: This week, REI’s deals include 25 percent off a variety of brands that we like, including Osprey, Columbia, and more. You can also check out REI Garage to get an additional 25 percent off gear from Marmot, Big Agnes, Gregory, Chaco, and Outdoor Research. For example, you can save $100 on the Marmot Eclipse EvoDry Rainjacket, which senior writer Adrienne So reviewed last year.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Active for $120 ($80 off): The Galaxy Watch Active (8/10, WIRED Recommends) was released about a year ago. In her review, Lauren Goode said the watch is sleek, lightweight, and has good features for the price—which is even better now with this deal.
- Google Pixel 3A XL 64 GB Unlocked Smartphone for $379 ($100 off): The Google Pixel 3A (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the Best Cheap Android Phone out there. It has a fantastic camera, great battery life, and a nice screen. There’s no built-in Micro SD card slot, so keep that in mind. But at this price, the phone is cheaper than its smaller counterpart.
- AncestryDNA Ethnicity and Health Testing Kits starting at $59: Ancestry is best known for helping customers build out family trees, but it recently delved into the world of health screening. Depending on the test you’re interested in, you can save up to $100, and the sale is slated to run through Mother’s Day. Remember, tests like these come with their own set of privacy concerns. Check out the WIRED Guide to Genetic Testing to learn more.
- Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones (Renewed) for $200 ($100 off): These have been refurbished by Bose and come with a one-year warranty, just like a new pair would. They’re tested to work and look like new as well. Any potential blemishes will be minor. If you’re in the market for a nicer pair of headphones, these are a great option and are in our list of the Best Noise-Canceling Headphones. They’re comfortable, travel-friendly, and can connect to Google Assistant on your phone. Check out our review for more. If you’d prefer brand-new, they’re slightly discounted at Amazon.
- Apple AirPods Pro for $225 ($24 off): The discount will show during checkout. If you’re not a Verizon Wireless customer, you can check out as a guest. While you’re only getting 10 percent off, this deal beats the last discount we shared on the AirPods Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) by $10. If you don’t need to go Pro, you can also save $20 on the second-generation AirPods, which can recharge wirelessly.
